Counseling for Personal Development

Life is full of opportunities to learn and grow. Too often we do not learn from our experiences and suffer a variety of consequences from not listening to our internal compass. We have many roles that are stressful and demanding. Because of these life stresses just about everyone at some point in time can benefit from counseling.

How do I know if I should seek counseling?

  • You have been feeling "down" or irritable often enough that you notice it causing distress to you or others.

  • You have been feeling tense or anxious in a way that interferes with you doing things that you want to do for example- socializing.

  • You find yourself "stuck" in the past and have difficulty dealing with circumstances that occurred long ago that still effect you today.
  • You are stressed by one or many life circumstances that you feel powerless to change.
  • You have wanted to seek counseling before but have not because you felt embarrassed, ashamed, scared, uncertain about the process or simply did not make the time to pursue finding a counselor.

How can Counseling help?

  • Counseling can be extremely helpful in assisting people in the process of identifying their positive qualities, strengths, obstacles, destructive patterns and goals that are most important to them.

  • Strategies are used to build coping skills to move beyond depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief/loss, stress etc…

What types of counseling services do you provide and how much does it cost?

  • Individual counseling for adults or teens- $100.00 per 50 minute session

  • Couples or family counseling- $120.00 per 60 minute session

  • Pre-marital counseling- 8 session series $75.00 per 60 minute session

  • Family counseling (children ages 12 and up)- $120 per 60 minute session

  • Some reduced rate appointments are available based on income and ability to pay. Reduced fees for weekly meeting increase to a higher rate if meetings are held every other week or monthly. Details to be discussed during scheduling
